These little crosses start as a peice of 1X1/4" stock. They are then slit form the ends, opened out, and then have the holes punched in the centre. I then finish the ends. By the time I have compleated the cross the hammer has hit everybit of the surface. The finished size of the cross is about 4X3X3/16"

There is a lot of symbolizim in these crosses. For Christians, it represents the cross and the crown of thorns. Like a lot of symbols we use today it has an older meaning as well. The horizntal bar is the earth, while the vertical is the heavens. The circle is the cycle of the seasons, and the holes are the four elements.
